Former Ferrari driver Niki Lauda has congratulated Felipe Massa for a sterling performance at the Turkish Grand Prix and for outclassing teammate Michael Schumacher.
The former F1 champion's comments came after Jean Todt had similar praise for his own Brazilian protégé.
"Massa has impressed me and I think he has impressed Ferrari, too," the Austrian told F1Racing.net.
"He was stronger than Michael in the same car from the first training session of the weekend till the chequered flag. Massa did a perfect job."
Lauda also seems to suggest that it would be the right time to keep Massa on for another season and reward his steady improvement in performance whilst Schumacher appears to be on a slippery slope.
"Michael, the team's number one on his own account, is clearly losing ground. Massa was perfect, Schumacher was far from it. The cars are at least identical, so Michael should have won. But he made too many mistakes and is losing form."
