San Marino and European Grand Prix dropped
29 August 2006The FIA today announced the calendar for next season and caused a stir by the omission of the the European Grand Prix and San Marino Grand Prix. The Belgian Grand Prix is back on the World Championship tour after being out for one year for necessary upgrades to be compelted
The 2007 calendar counts a total of 17 races. There is a four-week gap between the Bahrain Grand Prix and Spanish Grand Prix, which seems to indicate that if Imola officials can complete improvement work in time that it could find a place back on the schedule.
