WilliamsF1 driver Nico Rosberg was the fastest driver out on track today in Monza. He clocked a fastest time of 1.22.038 today and covered 72 laps. Fernando Alonso set the fifth fastest time and Michael Schumacher seventh.

On Wednesday Scuderia Toro Rosso and Red Bull joined the other nine F1 teams who began testing at Autodromo di Monza on Tuesday already. They brought Speed, Liuzzi, Coulthard and Christian Klien with them.

There were numerous red flags interrupting today's work for the teams. Pedro de la Rosa caused two red flags as he stopped his McLaren on track with probably electronic problems. Michael Schumacher spun his Ferrari once causing a red flag. He was unable to return the car to the pitlane but his car was undamaged.

On the agenda for all the teams today was tyre testing and fine tuning new aero packages for the Italian Grand Prix.

Testing will continue on Thursday at Monza.
