Unsettled weather forecast for Monza

Monza temperatures traditionally reach 'scorchio' on race weekend but forecasts for this year's Grand Prix suggest we might be in for a surprise - only a few weeks after the first wet race at Hungary. On Wednesday night there were storms in the Monza district and there is an 80 percent chance of the same happening on Friday as the temperature should drop to 27 degrees Celsius.

Again on Saturday there is a 60 percent chance of bad weather when the temperature will probably continue to fall to around 23. Sunday is expected to be sunny, however, with max temperature set to be 24.

In addition to the inconsistent weather, the track has been largely resurfaced since last year so tyre choice could prove to be an interesting dilemma.
