Raikkonen confident with race pace

Kimi Raikkonen says he is confident his McLaren has the race pace necessary to win tomorrow's Italian Grand Prix after stealing pole position from Michael Schumacher by just 0.002s.

"It was very close and the car has been pretty good all weekend," Raikkonen said. "It wasn't a clean lap either - I had a couple of moments almost losing it in Ascari but it was good enough. I think we have a good race car."

"I think tomorrow's race will be down to which tyre will last better. So far it's been a good weekend for us," he concluded.

Raikkonen's pole at Monza is the eleventh of his career.
