Doornbos prepares for Chinese race

In Jerez Robert Doornbos began testing with Red Bull. The Dutchman will take over Christian Klien's position as race driver for the team and is preparing himself at the Spanish track.

It will be Doornbos' first race for Red Bull Racing. Speaking about yesterday's work at Jerez he said: "I'm happy to have enjoyed a productive first day. We managed to drive over 500 kilometres today, in which we successfully completed our programme without having any troubles."

"As I will work together with a new engineer for the upcoming races, this was our first day working together. Next to many long runs, we also focussed om practising starts and pitstops as this was already quite a long time ago for me. In the afternoon we also gathered important data for Michelin to select the right tyres for the Chinese GP."

"Hopefully we can carry on at this tempo also tomorrow and Friday. That would be an ideal preparation for my RBR race debut!"
