Imola gets F1 lifeline

Imola gets F1 lifeline

19 September 2006

Imola has been given a lifeline for the 2007 season after F1 team bosses and the FIA agreed to extend the 2007 F1 calendar from 17 to 18 races. Imola had been provisionally dropped because improvement works are behind schedule and the Spa circuit will be back next year.

Imola officials have to complete renovations to the pits and paddock facilities in time for next year's race. Failing that, another circuit could be selected to host the race.
