Montagny testing Toyota at Silverstone

Franck Montagny caused a few surprised faces this morning when he arrived at Silverstone this morning and stepped into the Toyota F1 car instead of the car in the Super Aguri pitbox. The Frenchman is likely to sign with Toyota for next season.

Montagny, wearing a black race outfit today without any sponsors, is testing at Toyota so both the team and driver can evaluate their partnership for their possible future together. On Monday Toyota announced that it expects to reach an agreement with Montagny to join the team as their third and test driver next season.

When asked if Montagny would be in Super Aguri's third car a spokesperson of the team told F1Racing.net: "We expect Montagny to be our third driver for the final three races, but things could change. It depends on his possible Toyota ."
