GP2 driver Alexandre Premat will make his Formula One debut next week at the Chinese Grand Prix. The Frenchman will be Spyker MF1's third driver in the free practice sessions on Friday F1Racing.net can reveal.
Colin Kolles told F1Racing.net: "Premat will be testing at Silverstone with us on Wednesday. In China he will be in our third car on Friday."
Alexandre Premat said: "This is a great opportunity to try an F1 car at MF1 Racing
(Spyker). I've been waiting for this day since I first started racing as a young boy. I've worked so hard for this opportunity and am determined to show my full potential at Shanghai and show I have earned it. I'm looking forward to helping the team develop the car both on the Friday at Shanghai, and during the test at Silverstone."
The 24-year-old Frenchman finished third in this year's GP2 championship and won the A1GP championship for France. In 2004 he won the Masters of Formula 3 at Zandvoort.
