Alonso 'more motivated than ever'

Fernando Alonso says he is more determined than ever to clinch the drivers' championship this year as he prepares for the final three rounds of the season, and his final three races for the Renault team.

"We've been leading the championship all year and we want to finish in the same position," said Alonso who leads Michael Schumacher by just two points.

"Our motivation is greater than ever," he warned. "These are my last three races for Renault and the last three races for Michelin so our motivation to win is enormous and I think we can do it."

"We always knew it would be very tight at the end of the championship and I've been well prepared for this," he went on. "We know we have the performance to win races and we need to make it happen."
