Doornbos ready for Red Bull debut

This weekend Robert Doornbos will travel to China to make his race debut for Red Bull Racing. The last race Doornbos participated in was also in China as a Minardi Formula 1 driver. The Dutchman is looking forward to be back at the grid.

"I am 100% ready to race and highly motivated," said Doornbos. "I will do the best I can to focus on Coulthard, my team mate. David has been in F1 for about thirteen years already so he has a lot of experience and is very fast. I will try to be at least as fast as he is. Hopefully the car will be competitive enough to score a point."

Two weeks ago Doornbos travelled to Jerez (Spain) to participate in a test with Red Bull Racing and prepare himself for the Chinese Grand Prix. "I had a really good week there in Jerez. I couldn't have wished for a better preparation as I could cover two or three race distances at every day of testing there. We spend a lot of time finding the right set-up for my driving style. We've also practiced many starts and pitstops, because I haven't been doing those for a while."
