Honda hopes to keep Button and Barrichello

04 October 2006

Honda is planning to keep its line up of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button together for at least another season, the team's president Yasuhiro Wada told reporters ahead of this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix.

"We're planning to stick with the same two drivers next year," Wada said. "We don't plan any changes."

"Jenson's victory in Hungary was a real highlight, but apart from that the feeling is that we've started operating at full capacity," he added. "I think after Hungary we have to aim higher than a podium. We should be looking to win races and hopefully we can start at Suzuka."
