In Friday's first practice Anthony Davidson was the fastest man out in the wet. The Honda test driver set a time of 1.45.349 and was seven tenths of a second faster than Toro Rosso test driver Neel Jani.
Because of the wet weather conditions there weren't many drivers that went out on track. Mostly the team's test drivers had to go on track to work on the set-up of the car and choosing the right tyre components.
At the end of the session Super Aguri's third driver Franck Montagny spun off. He was unable to get out of the gravel.
