Fisichella fastest as track dries

Giancarlo Fisichella set the fastest time in Friday's second free practice session. The Renault driver finished just ahead of Ferrari's Felipe Massa and Michael Schumacher. The rain eased for the second session and allowed some positive running towards the end of the hour.

Friday's second free practice session got underway on a wet track. The rain soon eased and the track dried out enough for teams to run dry weather tyres in the final ten minutes. 

Fernando Alonso was fourth fastest, behind the two Ferraris, but not by much and considering the conditions it is unclear whether Renault or Ferrari will have the upper hand this weekend. Honda's Anthony Davidson was fifth. 

Kimi Raikkonen's hopes of a repeat of last year's performance look bleak as he finished only tenth.
