Felipe Massa insisted that his pole position wouldn't be a major hinderance to Ferrari team mate Michael Schumacher's chances of winning the race. The Brazilian stole pole position in the final moments of qualifying at Suzuka. Last time he beat Schumacher to pole in Turkey, the German had a disappointing race, while Massa went on to win.
"I think for sure if you have both cars on the front row it's always important, so we're really motivated to try my best to help the team for the championship, to help Michael and that's really important for us," Massa insisted.
"And definitely, I'm really looking forward to getting back my third place in the championship," he added. "I think we have a big chance, a big opportunity here and we're really looking forward to achieving that."
