Jenson Button says he's preparing to challenge for the 2007 drivers' championship after taking his maiden F1 Grand Prix victory in Hungary this year. The 26-year-old Honda driver says that the signs are good for his team after it hauled itself out of a dismal mid-season performance.
"We need to hit the ground running and destroy the others early on," Button told Motorsport News. "I'm preparing for a championship run. There's no point in thinking there's no chance."
"The reality may be different but there's no point thinking like that," he added. "We thought we'd challenge this season, but now we take all our experience this year into next."
