Albers excited after first day

The start of the final round in the 2006 championship went well for Christijan Albers as he set a fastest time of 1:15.086s. The Spyker MF1 driver didn't cover a lot of laps at Interlagos to save his sets of tyres and engine.

"We tried two types of tyre compounds and I believe we made the right decision," said Albers.

"I like the track here in Interlagos. I think it can become a great weekend here. It's a bit of a changeable weather here so it can will be interesting to see what will happen in qualifying and the race on Sunday," he added.
