On Friday's first free practice session in Interlagos, Brazil, Kimi Raikkonen was the fastest man out on track. The Finn was just a fraction faster than Honda's test and reserve driver Anthony Davidson.
The final round of the 2006 Formula 1 championship got underway at Interlagos today. Most drivers remained in their pitbox to save their engine and tyres. They covered only a few installation laps. Ferrari drivers Schumacher and Massa as well as Williams drivers Rosberg and Webber remained in for the entire session.
The session was a bit boring for the fans in the grandstands. There wasn't a lot of action in the 60 minute practice session. There were yellow flags waved when Spyker MF1 driver Ernesto Viso spun his car and when Jarno Trulli spun his Toyota.
