Sainz to drive Renault F1 in Barcelona

The Renault F1 Team demonstrations, always one of the highlights at a World Series by Renault meeting, will bring someone special to Barcelona. The two-time World Rally Champion Carlos Sainz will drive the Renault R25 this weekend at Circuit de Catalunya during the World Series by Renault finals.

The Spanish driver will make three outings during the weekend: on Saturday, October 28, at 4.10pm and then on Sunday, October 29, at 9.55am and 3.20pm.

"I am really grateful to Renault for giving me such a great opportunity, as well as Volkswagen for having authorised me to take part in this event,", said Sainz.

"Over the last few years, I've been interested in everything related to circuit racing and go-karts, and in particular the World Series by Renault. I hope that Andy Soucek and Borja García will makes us enjoy with their success this weekend. I am also following the evolutions of young drivers like Dani Clos and Jaime Alguersuari, who are having a great season on the Formula Renault Eurocup 2.0."
