Turkish GP organisers want to withdraw appeal

Turkish motorsport authority TOSFED have submitted a request to withdraw their appeal against their 5 million dollar fine the FIA announced today.

During the podium ceremony of the Turkish Grand Prix earlier this year Felipe Massa received his trophy from Mr Mehmet Ali Talat who was introduced as president of the Turkish Cypriot 'state', which is only recognised by Turkey and not officially by the international community. The organisers paid half of the fine already earlier this month.

The Judges of the International Court of Appeal will consider this request at the first available hearing.
