Fernando Alonso says he would be happy to retire from F1 having won just one more title, despite having fended off a stern challenge for this year's crown from seven-times champion Michael Schumacher.
Alonso joins McLaren next season on a three-year deal and the Mercedes-powered team has just faced up to its first winless season for a decade.
"To retire with three titles and achieve what Ayrton Senna did would be the objective of my career," Alonso told Telecinco, a Spanish television channel. "If we hadn't won this year I would have been really angry and it would have been such an injustice."
"For that reason I was extra motivated in Brazil to make sure that everything was how we had done it throughout the year - in our own hands," he added.
