De la Rosa confident on future in F1

Pedro de la Rosa is confident that he will be partnering double world champion and fellow countryman Fernando Alonso at McLaren next season.

Over lunch with some of the Spanish press, which De la Rosa paid for as he said he would if he got on the podium this season, the McLaren talked about his race possibilities for next season.

"I have a chance to race next season and I am determined to prove what I'm worth over the upcoming weeks of testing," said De la Rosa. "But if I can not make it, and race next season, it won't be a big problem." 

McLaren will most likely join the other teams in Barcelona in the final week of November.

Looking back at his season with McLaren, De la Rosa furthermore said: "These eight races with McLaren were unforgettable. The best season so far in my Formula 1 career. I hope I can continue to race in the upcoming years in F1."
