McLaren decision before Christmas

McLaren will decide who will partner Fernando Alonso before Christmas, the team's managing director Martin Whitmarsh has said. 

Lewis Hamilton and Pedro de la Rosa are the two men in competition for the drive and both will be in action for the team when testing resumes in Barcelona at the end of November.

"We'll announce our decision sometime before Christmas," Whirtmarsh told Speed TV. "Clearly Lewis is a strong contender and so is Pedro. We're not looking anywhere else."
