Tough first day for Davidson at Aguri
28 November 2006 / Results / PhotosAfter years of testing at Honda and a few races for Minardi, Anthony Davidson finally got a race seat. The British driver will be part of Super Aguri in 2007 and tested for the first time with his new team.
"It was difficult working with the tyres," he told F1Racing.net. "They slide a lot. It was a good but tough day at the office. There was not a lot of grip. That's also because the teams are using fewer tyres."
Davidson is used to testing the car for his team and the race drivers. Now he can work more for his own success. "It still feels like a normal test," he explained. "And it is a bit difficult to see your name at the bottom of the time sheets. But I know I am working more for myself. For now on, I have to be quick at the race days."
