There were many speculations in the paddock at Circuit de Catalunya about Super Aguri's car. Rumours said the car was Honda's 2006 chassis, but the Super Aguri Formula 1 team denied the rumours.

"This is the Super Aguri interim car," a Super Aguri spokesperson told F1Racing.net. "People say it looks familiar, but we only use the Honda-engine and the Honda-gearbox. These rumours are not true."
