Hakkinen makes F1 return

This morning at 09.00 Mika Hakkinen made his return at an official Formula 1 event. The Finn joined McLaren for a day of testing at Circuit de Catalunya to familiarize with a modern Formula 1 car.

In the first half an hour Hakkinen completed four installation runs in the MP4-21. The conditions are perfect for the 38-year-old Fin.

His test session isn't just for fun he explained yesterday. Speaking to the press he said: ""It is not only fun. You have to take a serious approach here for the whole test. You can't just test and joke about it."
