Williams happy with front wing developments

01 December 2006

The WilliamsF1 team was in action this week at Barcelona with a Toyota engine in the back of an FW28 and working on some aero development, particularly on the front wing.

"Narain Karthikeyan was driving for the last of the three day test in Barcelona and started the programme with some bodywork aero comparisons and changes to the front wing," explained Mike Condliffe, test team manager at Williams.

"After lunch, we were after Narain's comments on some front geometry changes which we will feed into the FW29 design programme," he added. "We have completed useful mileage on several new mechanical components as part of their acceptance programme. Next week we will continue the development work in Jerez."
