Red Bull drivers excited about 2007

04 December 2006

The Red Bull Racing drivers are confident ahead of 2007 and are excited by the mouth-watering prospect of the RB3: it will be the first Red Bull car designed by Adrian Newey since his arrival at the end of February. Mark Webber had his first test for the outfit last week in Barcelona.

"We started testing last week and got into it nice and slowly," he said at the Autosport Awards in London on Sunday evening.

"Obviously we are looking forward to next year's car - and hopefully Adrian can give me and David a car that will get us to the front of the grid.

"I think both David and I want to have a very strong season next year. David has obviously won Grands Prix, but I am looking forward to getting on with the unfinished business of winning - that is for sure."

David Coulthard was also buoyant ahead of the next season and praised the arrival of his new Australian teammate, who will be bringing his Bridgestone experience from Williams.

"Mark coming on board is good," said Coulthard, also at the Awards.

"He is a quick racing driver, so he will bring his experience from Williams. Hopefully we will work well together and move the team forward. There are a whole host of people at the team, not just Adrian, who are hungry for success. We know it is a challenge, we know it is hard work but we are up for it. We are all looking forward to the middle of January when the new car arrives," he added.
