Kovalainen: Raikkonen favourite to win title

According to Renault's rookie driver Heikki Kovalainen his country fellow Kimi Raikkonen has the best chance to win the championship in 2007. Kovalainen believes Raikkonen has the biggest chance at Ferrari next season.

Speaking to Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat Kovalainen said: "Kimi is the biggest favourite. Alonso is also strong but only if McLaren will get their car working properly. Massa can also be good."

The 25-year-old Finn expects Ferrari to have an advantage on the other teams because of their Bridgestone experience. "I believe we will close the gap when next season really starts," he said.

Kovalainen tempers expectations on his rookie season. "At the moment I don't take stress about winning races. I want finish my first Grand Prix in Melbourne and I want get a good start this season."
