Liuzzi and Speed's seat uncertain

Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed are still not confirmed as Scuderia Toro Rosso drivers for 2007. The duo, who raced for the Italian squad in 2006, could still be replaced by other drivers team boss Gerhard Berger reveals.

Speaking to SpeedTV Berger revealed: "There is a reason why we have not clarified everything. Let's say it this way, our two existing drivers are on pole position, no question. But we still have a few things to discuss, and I'd like to do it over the next few days."

Robert Doornbos' management already confirmed to F1Racing.net last month that they were negotiating with Red Bull to clinch a drivers seat at Toro Rosso. But apart from the Dutchman, Narain Karthikeyan is also a possibility for the team. "They are all possibilities, and some more," Berger said. "You have to see different things. Some people have a name where you can get some budget. At the end of the day we'll chose the one who will be the quickest in our car."

"But if you have two on the same level, and one has a budget in the back, it's better. I don't want to put anybody down, I don't want to say we are out to find money, because if this is the reason we would have signed already somebody of the guys with quite big money on the table.

"We are looking for the quickest guy, and looking to see if our quickest guy doesn't have another guy of the same level with the money. Because that would be wrong if we would miss it."
