Hamilton gives Albers a Sutil warning

04 January 2007

Despite 2007 being Adrian Sutil's first season in Formula One, Lewis Hamilton believes the German will give Spyker teammate Chrisijan Albers a run for his money.

The 21-year-old Brit, who will be making his debut alongside Fernando Alonso this season at McLaren, was impressed by Sutil when driving alongside him in the Formula Three Euro Series in 2005.

"Everyone knows what Albers can do," Hamilton told Autosport. "But I think it's going to be like Kubica joining Heidfeld at BMW and giving him a big wake-up call."

The German, who won the Japanese F3 series last year, was runner-up to Hamilton in the F3 Euro Series in 2005.

"Adrian will do the same to Albers. In fact, I expect him to be quicker. He's a really good driver who taught me a lot when we were together," he added.
