The race promoters of the Malaysian Grand Prix hope Formula 1 will not only return every season for the Grand Prix, but also for an official test session ahead of the race. The track in Sepang will host its first official test session for the first time from March 27-29.
Sepang's track manager Datuk Ahmad Mustafa confirmed all eleven Formula 1 teams will join the test session in Malaysia. Speaking to the Malaysian press Mustafa said: "We are working closely to turn these sessions into an annual affair. We expect things to run smoothly. Malaysia will have nothing to lose because the teams are coming here on their own expenses."
