Ferrari counts on gearbox edge
15 January 2007One of the less obvious developments on the new 2007 Ferrari is the all new gearbox. The team has been busy developing the new unit to reduce the momentum and time lost during the split-second gear shifts.

"The gear box has a new quick shift system, which will avert time loss during gear-changes," said Ferrari chassis chief Aldo Costa. "This system lowers the time of gear change, works for all gears and in every condition."
