Paffett aims for 2008 F1 drive

McLaren test driver Gary Paffett hopes that by adding to his experience this season he will be able to claim a F1 race seat in 2008. The 2005 DTM champion will be keeping his racing skills honed by competing in the DTM championship as well as fulfilling his testing commitment for McLaren.

"Every drivers dream is to be a race driver in Formula 1 and I am no different. I will be doing my best to make that dream happen for 2008," the 25-year-old said.

"While helping the team develop the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-22 and building on my Formula 1 experience, I will also be contesting the DTM in Germany with Mercedes and hope to get back to winning some races again," the Brit added.
