Another new major sponsor for Spyker

17 January 2007

The Spyker F1 team, currently enjoying their ski event in Gstaad, today announced they signed a multi-year technology and marketing deal with German company Medion AG.

Medion will become a partner of Spyker F1. The Medion logos will appear on the F1 cars and drivers' overalls.

Dr Colin Kolles, Spyker F1 teams Principal, said about the team's new sponsor: "We are very happy to have secured a partnership with Medion which is one of the biggest and most successful technology brands. Their innovative IT and media products will be used by our team to increase our performance in all departments."

Christian Eigen, Medion CFO: "We have been supporting Spyker's exciting new German driver F1 driver Adrian Sutil since the beginning of his career as we believe in his extraordinary talent and ambition. Now that he has graduated to Formula 1 it is logical for Medion to partner Spyker F1. Medion has looked very closely at Formula 1 and the Spyker F1 team and we are convinced that the global platform the sport provides will help to increase our brand awareness and image. The affinity of F1 with our products is strong and offers attractive opportunities. F1 stands for innovation, dynamics and high-tech and fits perfectly with the Medion image."
