Super Aguri F1 Team started its test at the Jerez circuit in Spain today to continue its preparations for the 2007 Formula One season. Anthony Davidson completed 113 laps with a best lap time of 1:20.266, which was within a tenth of a second of Giancarlo Fisichella's fastest time.

The conditions were cool to start but brightened throughout the day with sunshine in the afternoon. Davidson's testing programme with the SAF1 interim car comprised of continued analysis of the Bridgestone Potenza tyres and control systems development with the team able to pick up from the pre-Christmas test.

Davidson will be back in the driving seat tomorrow when the team will continue with some extended runs.
