The WilliamsF1 team has been quietly getting on with the development of its new Toyota-powered car at Jerez in Spain this week with test driver Nakajima doing the donkey work.
"We had a very varied programme on Wednesday commencing with analysis of cooling options and electronic systems checks to start with," explained test team manager Mike Condliffe. "For the remainder of the morning, Kazuki completed his first full race simulation without incident."
"In the afternoon session, we undertook some additional traction control work followed by a safety car simulation," he added. "In all Kazuki completed a very respectable 140 laps or 620km."
