Sato lauds successful test

Sato lauds successful test

20 January 2007

Takuma Sato was in good spirits after Super Aguri completed its first major test of 2007 at Jerez. The team covered over 1,600km during the three days.

"It was another positive test for us and I am very pleased to start the new year testing like this," Sato said. "We tried various set-ups for a variety of conditions and learned a few things on the control side as well. The car was very reliable so we were able to complete our planned programme with very good mileage. The team is working well together and we had a very good atmosphere here, so I am happy with this test."

Team mate Anthony Davidson added, "It was a very successful test for us in Jerez. On the two days that I drove we managed to improve our traction control and continue learning about the new Bridgestone Potenza tyres. We made further progress on the balance of the car and the Honda engine was reliable once again, so we were able to cover 259 laps over the two days."
