Telefonica moves F1 sponsorship to Spanish GP
22 January 2007Spanish telecommunications company Telefonica has not extended its sponsorship with the Renault F1 team. A spokesperson at Telefonica confirmed they will not continue their sponsorship but instead become the Spanish Grand Prix mainsponsor.

A Telefonica spokesperson told F1Racing.net: "It is indeed correct that we will not carry on our sponsorship with the Renault F1 team. We will however remain linked with Formula 1 as we will for example be the main sponsor of the Spanish Grand Prix this season."
Telefonica joined Renault in 2004.
