Button vague on F1 future

Button vague on F1 future

23 January 2007

Jenson Button has been quite vague about his future in F1 claiming he doesn't know whether he will still be in F1 or not in the next seven years despite being only 27 years old. The topic came up in an interview with The Times newspaper when Button was asked whether he could ever see himself beating Michael Schumacher's records.

"Seven world championships is phenomenal and you really do have to be in the right place at the right time," Button said. "I don't know whether I want to be around for seven more years. I'll have to wait and see. My goal is to win the world championship and then we'll see what happens. I'm not going to plan too much into the future. My future at the moment is this year and that's all I'm looking at."
