
The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority today announced the first wave of teams and drivers to confirm their attendance to showcase their cars and skills at Abu Dhabi's F1 Festival on Saturday, February 3, 2007.
The following teams have confirmed that they will attend in Abu Dhabi: McLaren, Honda, Toyota, BMW-Sauber, Super Aguri, Toro Rosso, Spyker and Red Bull.
Commenting on the announcement, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nayhan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, said: "We are delighted at the caliber of the line-up of F1 talent confirmed to come to Abu Dhabi for the F1 Festival, making this event the largest gathering of teams and drivers outside of a Grand Prix. This is just the first raft of confirmations. We are encouraging everyone to come to the venue early on February 3rd and see their heroes in action."
So far the organisers of the event was able to announced six drivers that will attend the event. Those drivers are: Fernando Alonso (McLaren), Rubens Barrichello (Honda), Ralf Schumacher (Toyota), Scott Speed (Toro Rosso), Christijan Albers (Spyker), Michael Ammermueller (Red Bull).
