Hamilton crashes heavily at Valencia

McLaren's new driver Lewis Hamilton crashed heavily in today's test session at Valencia. Hamilton was fortunately able to step out of the wrecked MP4-22 unhurt. His team-mate Fernando Alonso continued testing at Valencia, but without any problems.

Fernando Alonso completed 76 laps at the Spanish track with a fastest time of 1.11.698. Lewis Hamilton completed 33 laps with a best time of 1.12.596.

McLaren will continue testing at Valencia on Friday.
