Ferrari's race and testing technical manager Nigel Stepney says he wants to get away from Ferrari and that he's unhappy with recent management changes at the Italian team. Stepney joined Ferrari in 1992 and has suggested he could take a year out.
"I'm currently not happy with the situation within the team," Stepney told Autosport magazine. "I really want to move forward with my career and that's not happening right now."
"Ideally I'd like to move into a new environment at Ferrari, but if an opportunity arose at another team I would definitely consider it," he added.
Stepney is under contract to Ferrari until the end of the current season and is in charge of operations at Grand Prix weekends. He was famously run over by Michael Schumacher during a pit stop at the 2000 Spanish Grand Prix.
