01 February 2007

James Rossiter is this year's third and reserve driver at the Honda F1 team. The 23-year-old Briton doesn't expect to be in the car though in Friday's free practice sessions.

"Hopefully I'll be doing a lot of testing," Rossiter told F1Racing.net looking ahead of the 2007 season. "The team seems quite happy with me and I'm enjoying it very much at the moment.

"I think Honda wants to run its race drivers on Friday, but you never know what the future holds," he said.

Rossiter is currently in Valencia with the team to prepare for the upcoming season. While his team-mate Barrichello worked in the new RA107, while Rossiter worked on the RA106. Speaking about his day of testing he said: "I was driving the old car, mainly working on control systems, trying to improve those so they can be put on the new car."
