Renault boosted by better weather

Renault made the most of the first day of fully-dry weather this week on Thursday to complete a busy day of testing in Valencia, Spain. Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen got down to work immediately in the morning, focusing primarily on reliability testing of the new R27.

The goal for both R27 chassis was to complete a full race distance, and for the drivers to practice techniques such as full pit-stops, startline procedures and race starts during the session.

"We had good track conditions for the first time this week, and we made good progress with the programme," said Fisichella. "That's a satisfying result, and I think we are pretty pleased with the information we have collected."
