Monday was the first day of testing at Circuit de Catalunya. All the Formula 1 teams travelled to Spain to prepare themselves for the upcoming season. Ten out of the eleven F1 teams were testing today. Scuderia Toro Rosso will start its preparations on Tuesday after the team's launch around lunch time.

At BMW Kubica busied himself with aero work, concentrating on the BMW's front wings. He also tested different brakes, and shortly before the end of the day stopped out on the track as the team had planned to run the car dry.

Timo Glock joined Kubica in Barcelona. The team wanted to give Glock as many laps as possible, as this was his first proper day in the new car because to date he had experienced bad weather in his tests. He did an aero test as well as systems, diagnostics and recovery work. Due to rain in the middle of the day the team lost a couple of hours of running and also there were numerous red flags

For Spyker it was the first outing on track with other teams around them. Adrian Sutil travelled to Spain for Spyker's first day. On Tuesday and Wednesday Christijan Albers will be in the car for the Silverstone based team.
