Berger still not worried about his chassis

13 February 2007

Gerhard Berger has already said it many times. The Austrian F1 team boss is not worried about any claims that his team is using an illegal chassis. Berger expects an exciting season in Formula 1 this year.

Speaking about the team's upcoming season he told GPUpdate.net: "The whole package is very different from last year. I'm happy with the Ferrari engine for different reasons. First of all because it is a competitive engine, it's been fighting for the championship. And second of all because my relationship with Ferrari and third from a marketing point of view."

Frank Williams and Colin Kolles expect Toro Rosso and Super Aguri to use a chassis that was build by another Formula 1, something that would not be allowed according to the FIA rules. Gerhard Berger though still believes both Williams and Kolles are wrong. "With every regulation you have different ways of interpreting them and Frank Williams obviously has a different way than we do. Of course you need the FIA to decide who's wrong and who's right. The FIA agrees with us, but if someone has another opinion then that is fine."
