Former Jordan and Midland driver Tiago Monteiro announced that he accepted none of the Formula 1 proposals he received. The Portuguese driver will now target a return to Formula One in 2008.
According to Monteiro he received a few proposals, but none were interesting enough to take. At the moment his management is considering various offers from other racing series for the upcoming season.
Speaking about the decision he made Monteiro said: "The future promises to be even more exciting and I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel. I am very pleased by the number of offers in other competitive series where I can potentially race at the sharp end in 2007.
"I'm in advanced discussions at the moment and will be able to reveal more shortly. In the meantime I'd like to thank all my fans, sponsors and friends in Portugal and all around the world for their support and patience", he concluded.
