Renault picks new young talents

14 February 2007

The Renault Formula 1 team announced today who of the young racing talents will receive the team's support in the upcoming season. Drivers such as Heikki Kovalainen, Robert Kubica, Tiago Monteiro and Giedo van der Garde have all been involved to some degree in Renault F1's young drivers development programme.

Renault's best success of its development programme is its 2007 race driver Heikki Kovalainen. After taking Kovalainen under its wing in 2002, Renault's programme has guided him through the upper echelons of competitive motor racing. Today, the Finn is one of the official drivers of the Formula 1 double World Champions Renault F1 Team.

In the upcoming season Renault will guide Lucas di Grassi (pictured above), Romain Grosjean, Ben Hanley, Nelson Panciatici and Dani Clos.
