Villeneuve's manager: Jacques wants to win Le Mans

20 February 2007

Former Honda F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve signed up with Peugeot for the Le Mans 24-hours event, which will be held in France June 16-17 2007. Villeneuve's friend and manager Craig Pollock believes this is the challenge Villeneuve is looking for and he will do everything he can to win the major event.

"He can not win seven Formula One world championships, Schumacher has already done that, but potentially he can be one of the great race drivers in the world by winning all sorts of different championships," said Pollock. "Jacques really wants to win Le Mans. It is something he's never done before. He's done open wheel racing. People might find him going to NASCAR unusual, but which Formula 1 champion has ever had a chance to win the NASCAR series?"
